About PCL

It was just in 2016 when the Philippine Collegiate League (PCL), created by Ewon Arayi of the national women’s basketball team, Perlas Pilipinas, began with its aim to hold more tournaments for schools and student-athletes. With the success of its first ever women’s basketball championship, not only did the PCL raise awareness of the importance of sports in women, it also opened the discussion for a healthier, more balanced sports atmosphere in the Philippines.

In keeping with the mission, PCL is gearing towards organizing more inclusive college-based games, which the League believes will help shape the future of sports in the country.
